Subject: Setting Up a Simple Content System
Happy 2025!!
I’m sure that you’ve already been goal planning, so this week, let’s talk systems.
The idea of creating content regularly can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re juggling a business, a blog, and a million other responsibilities.
The key to consistent content creation? A simple, repeatable system that works like a well-oiled machine.
This week, we’re diving into how to set up a content system that’s easy to maintain, keeps you organized, and takes the guesswork out of what to create next.
🎨 Turning Happy Accidents Into Gold
A content system doesn’t have to be complex. In fact, the best systems are built on simplicity and consistency. Here’s the basic structure you need:
- Brain Dump Ideas
Dedicate time each week to jot down content ideas. Don’t overthink—just get them out of your head and onto paper (or into a tool like Notion or Trello). - Create a Monthly Content Plan
Choose 4-5 core topics for the month. Assign each one to a week, and map out where it will go—blog, social, newsletter, etc. - Batch Your Tasks
Group similar tasks to maximize efficiency. For example:- Research and outline all blog posts in one session.
- Write captions for all social posts at once.
- Schedule Content in Advance
Use scheduling tools (like Later, Tailwind, or your blog’s scheduler) to plan posts ahead of time.
⭐️ Today’s Tip
Start with the 3-2-1 Content System:
- 3 Main Content Pillars: Choose 3 key themes you’ll focus on consistently. (E.g., SEO tips, content creation hacks, and blogging success stories.)
- 2 Platforms: Pick 2 places where you’ll consistently share content (e.g., your blog and Instagram).
- 1 Weekly Content Block: Set aside 1 recurring time each week to create and schedule your content.
🔍 Dive Deeper
Here’s a step-by-step guide to building a system that sticks:
- Set a Weekly Content Workflow:
Example:- Monday: Brainstorm and plan.
- Wednesday: Write and edit.
- Friday: Schedule and publish.
- Use Templates to Save Time:
- Create a blog post format (e.g., intro, tips, conclusion).
- Use Canva templates for social media graphics.
- Track and Adjust:
- Monitor your analytics to see what’s working.
- Refine your system monthly based on results.
🖊️ Your Assignment
This week, take 30 minutes to:
- Brainstorm your 3 main content pillars.
- Identify 2 platforms where you’ll share content.
