What If No One Cares About Your Content?
Issue Date: February 26, 2025
Memo No.: 036
Subject: What If No One Cares About Your Content?
Read Time: 5 minutes
Ever felt like you’re talking to a wall when you post online? You craft what you think is a brilliant piece of content, hit publish, and then… nothing. Maybe a like or two, but mostly, crickets.
I’ve been there (more times than I care to admit), and I know how frustrating it feels. But let’s talk about why that fear of irrelevance isn’t the full story—and how you can shift the narrative.

📋 Weekly Highlights
- Tip of the Week: People may not always like your content, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t watching. Keep showing up.
- Spotlight Success: A fellow creator I know reshared an old post that originally bombed, added a new hook, and—boom!—engagement skyrocketed. Sometimes, it’s about tweaking, not trashing.
💡 From Draft to Digital
How to Overcome the Fear of Irrelevance & Boost Engagement
1️⃣ Reframe What Engagement Means
Not every post will go viral, and honestly, that’s a good thing. Instead of chasing numbers, think about impact. Would you rather have 10,000 random likes or 10 engaged people who actually care about what you do?
2️⃣ Engage First
Ever notice how some people always get engagement? It’s usually because they interact first. Comment on others’ posts, reply to stories, and actually start conversations.
Think of it as the digital version of waving at a neighbor instead of waiting for them to wave first.
3️⃣ Optimize Your Hook
Most of us scroll fast—like, really fast. If your first line doesn’t stop someone in their tracks, they’ll keep scrolling. Try leading with a bold statement, an unexpected take, or a relatable struggle.
4️⃣ Repurpose & Reshare
If a post flopped, it’s not a failure—it’s just round one. Maybe it needed a better headline, a different format, or a new audience. Take a blog post and turn it into a tweet. Screenshot that tweet and post it as an Instagram carousel. Work smarter, not harder.
5️⃣ Consistency Wins the Game
It’s not the one viral post that changes everything. It’s the body of work you create over time. Keep showing up—even when it feels like no one’s listening—because they are.
🎉 Happy Accidents Worth Sharing
Did you know Post-it Notes were originally a failed attempt at making a super-strong adhesive? What seemed like a flop became one of the most useful office supplies ever. Your content might not stick right away—but keep going, and it will find its audience.
📬 Your Assignment
This week, go back to a piece of content that didn’t perform well and repurpose it. Change the headline, tweak the format, or reframe the message. Then, post it again and track the difference.
