The Elephant In The Room: Mindset

Memo No.: 38
Subject: The Elephant in the Room: Why Mindset is Blocking Your Growth
Read Time: 3 minutes

Ever feel like no matter what strategies you try, things just aren’t clicking

You’ve done the research, followed the experts, and even mapped out a plan… but you’re still stuck.

The problem might not be the strategy.

It might be your mindset.

When your mindset is misaligned, nothing flows.

Your business feels like a chore, your content lacks clarity, and opportunities seem to slip through your fingers.

Today, we’re talking about the elephant in the room—how your mindset could be blocking your success and what to do about it.

📋 Weekly Highlights

  • Tip of the Week: If you’re feeling stuck, stop tweaking your strategy and start examining your beliefs. What’s the story you’re telling yourself about your business?

💡 From Draft to Digital

Your mindset isn’t just about thinking positively—it’s about alignment

If deep down you don’t believe your content will gain traction, that your business can be successful, or that you’re the kind of person who can make this work… guess what?

Your actions will reflect that.

Signs Your Mindset is Blocking You:

  • You’re constantly second-guessing yourself.
  • You hesitate to share your content because “it’s not good enough.”
  • You’re stuck in learning mode instead of taking action.
  • You start new strategies but never fully commit.

How to Shift Your Mindset & Get Aligned:

1. Identify the Beliefs Holding You Back – What thoughts pop up when you imagine success?

Do you secretly believe you’re not ready, not smart enough, or that success is reserved for “other people”?

2. Challenge Those Thoughts – Ask yourself: Is this belief true? Would you say the same thing to a friend in your position?

3. Act As If – If you already believed you were the kind of person who succeeds, how would you show up differently? Start acting like that person now.

4. Reframe Failure as Data – The most successful people aren’t afraid to fail. Every misstep is feedback that gets you closer to what works.

Mindset isn’t just an internal game—it shapes every external result.

Did you know that J.K. Rowling was rejected 12 times before Harry Potter was published? Imagine if she had let her mindset convince her to quit at rejection #6.

📨 Your Assignment

This week, write down three mindset blocks you’ve noticed in yourself. Then, challenge them. What’s a new belief you can start practicing?
