Hey there!

Thanksgiving is here—a time for gratitude, reflection, and let’s be real, navigating a swirl of emotions. For many, it’s a season of connection and celebration, but for others, it can bring up feelings of comparison, doubt, or even a touch of melancholy.

Here’s the thing to remember: there’s no competition. It’s not you versus someone else’s highlight reel. It’s you versus you, and the only thing that truly matters is showing up—consistently, authentically, and in your own time.

This week, we’re diving into how to embrace your journey, take action toward your goals, and focus on the power of progress over perfection.

Turning Happy Accidents into Gold

Sometimes, life doesn’t go according to plan, and that’s okay. Some of the most inspiring success stories were born from late starts, setbacks, or second chances:

  • Colonel Sanders launched KFC at 62, proving that it’s never too late to spice things up.
  • Vera Wang started off in figure skating and journalism, but she redefined bridal fashion in her 40s, showing that pivots can be powerful.
  • Julia Child didn’t publish her first cookbook until 50, reminding us that age is just a number when you’re passionate.

What’s the common thread? They weren’t in a race. They focused on their own path, leaned into their strengths, and took action when the time felt right.

Progress, Not Perfection

Here’s a little holiday reminder: success isn’t about massive leaps; it’s about the consistency of showing up every day.

  1. It’s You vs. You: Stop worrying about what others are doing. Your progress, no matter how small, is what counts.
  2. Celebrate Small Wins: Every step forward—whether it’s a blog post, a new idea, or just brainstorming—is worth celebrating.
  3. Keep Showing Up: Even on the hard days, consistency builds momentum, and momentum creates results.

Today’s Tip: Start Where You Are

Here’s how to keep moving forward without overwhelming yourself:

  1. Focus on One Thing: Choose one goal or task to work on this week, whether it’s writing a blog post or brainstorming ideas.
  2. Set Micro Goals: Break it into small, manageable steps you can tackle daily.
  3. Reflect on Gratitude: Take a moment to appreciate how far you’ve come, even if it feels like a baby step.
